I'll grab a cup of 'time' thanks!

I would consider myself a reasonably busy person. I work part time, studying plus running BB as well as having a life and trying to find time just for myself. The last thing I have got NONE of lately...but thats ok!

I have been busy making some sale stock, so far I have 8 daisy bows with a special embellishment...can you guess?? And slowly I'm getting some yoyo clips made. I think I'll have about 8 of those once I am finished.

I've also been doing my orders. I got two finished this week and I have just finished another tonight. I have another two left, one which is easy...one not as easy. The little singed flowers in the top right corner are part of one of the orders and I think they look sooo cute together! I am tempted to make a trio headband.

I have also been slack with updating my stock. I have all new crochet headbands and beanies and haven't even listed them. I also have my lovely new peonies (pictured bottom right) and haven't listed those either!!

This weekend I have two special events on. Saturday I have one of my school girlfriends wedding, which should be a GREAT day. I love getting together with my girls. I did want to make something special to wear in my hair but I am struggling to get creative.

I also have my Nans 89th birthday on Sunday! We're going out with some friends for lunch, one of them shares the same birthday so we thoughts why not kill two birds with one stone.

Please someone send me some more time!! Oh with a shot of energy....actually make that a double!

TTFN. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Another busy week!

So I've had a busy day this week completeing and sending orders. Still waiting on a couple of payments from customers so I can get the rest of these outta here! In the pic on the bottom left corner you'll see some of the singed flowers which I have been making for orders. They are so pretty and will look great on the beanies and headbands! Can't wait to get some piccies from my customers *big smile*

Not only have I been busy making stuff but I've also got a couple of deliveries this week! *squeal* I got my elastic and ribbon which I have been waiting for for agggess! Now I just have to pull my finger out and start making my paci clips! I think that will be my next project and will give me something different to focus on. My new elastic colours are above in the top left pic. I am loving the hot pink colour, it is so so yummy! I'm not a big green or yellow fan but I do really like these ones that I got.

My other delivery was my gerbera daisies! So many hair accessory places sell these and I felt like I was missing out on something so I only got 8 just to test them out and see how they went. Well I got my parcel...got excited...open my parcel...so far so good....looked closer....hmm afew bent petals....hmm that rhinestone isn't any good....hmm there is a petal missing on that one. I suppose you live and learn! I haven't been turned off the daisies but I know I will have to be more picky about where I get them from. So now I have some daisies without rhinestones because they are yukky or scratched and I won't use them. I can put my little pearl centres on them which do look nice but I should have my rhinestone buttons in about a months time so I think I will wait for them *big smile*

So I have had some ups and some downs this week. Work has been rather busy but I have a late start tomorrow which is nice although I am fully booked from 1pm to 6pm which means I won't finish work until around 6:30-7pm. Think I may go get my hair cut on Friday as a little pick me up before heading off to the footy.

Oh before I leave I better explain the last picture in the bottom right corner. This is a very nice brooch that I got from Pitt Trading @ the Craft Expo a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot about uploading it. I am going to use it on my jackets or to dress up my scarves during the colder months coming up. Best of all it was only $6 and is so soft and delicious! Well I haven't really tasted it but I bet it would be if it were food!

TTFN my little bowtiquians!

Doing my little bit...

Well incase some of you don't know, Queensland has had terrible flooding with 75% of the state delcared a disaster zone. So many people have lost millions of dollars in farms and housing as well as many unreplaceable items such as photos, family heirlooms and pets :(

Since raising financial support for these people and businesses is the main aim all of Australia has banded together and donated lots and lots of money. Along with this many fan pages on Facebook have been holding auctions where businesses donate items to be auctioned and all proceeds will be donated to the QLD Flood Appeal.

So I researched many different pages and was accepted to place an item at the Handmade Kids and Rudy & The Dodo Flood Appeal. Brees Bowtiques item is in Album #4 and about 3 or 4 rows down. I am happy to say that after day one of the auction my item is already up to $35 and the whole appeal is already up to $11,000!!! This is just one little page doing this, image how much money all of these pages put together will bring to the flood victims....and this is just Facebook!

Here is my item which anyone is free to bid on over at HMK & RTD Flood Appeal. The auction finishes Monday 17th January.

Also thought I would pop in this (terrible!) pic of a headband which was a custom request from a customer. The flower looks huge in this pic but I think thats because the lace headband is rather thin lol I'll need to post a better pic once I get one!

Oh...one last note! I am going to be putting other some videos on how I do my singed flowers. I have done part one which is basically tools and how to cut out the petals. Will need to film the actual making of the petals and putting together a flower. Only thing I am NOT talking in the video because I hate my voice so it'll all be little notes posted on the video hehe
