Baby bows!

It has been over two weeks since I last blogged!! I suppose that is what happens when you're really busy and barely have time to scratch yourself haha I actually have some new products to talk about which is nice!

First of all I have been working on my baby snap range! It hasn't been touched for awhile and was looking pretty sad and sorry for itself. So to share the love around evenly, I have made a couple of new sets (or can be bought individually). Two of these sets are pictured to the left, my two spotty sets. I also have a girls essential baby bow set which has white, purple, hot pink and red colours and then I have a pastel set which...I think....has 7 clips in it. I love the pastel set but then again I love anything pastel and pretty. I have also tested out some two tone bows which are cute but don't really look complete without a cute bub and outfit to match.

For a while I have seen the felt covers you can buy for snap clips and wanted to get them until I found a tutorial the other day that showed you how to make one. It really wasn't rocket science and I probably would have worked it out if I had thought about it a little longer but never mind! In the pic above I have a 'normal' size snap clip with purple felt, contrasting stitching and medium yoyo and then I have a baby snap with black felt, contrasting stitching and small yoyo. I have actually used the purple one as a clip in my collection for my Collaboration for a Cause pieces.

Speaking of Collaboration for a Cause, my stuff is coming along...'ok'. I have been really tired this week after work so I have only done little bits here and there but it's all starting to come together. I am going for a white, purple/lavender, pink and peach theme which I think ties in with Jacaras hair organizer perfectly. Speaking of Jacs piece...WOW...it is amazing!! I can't show you guys a pic (just yet) but I can tell you that whoever wins it is going to L.O.V.E it! Plus they get a couple of my hair clippies too which go alright :P I have come up with around 10 or 11 different types of my clips which I think will be ok. For some reason I just can't seem to come up with a couple of bigger pieces, so I am going for numerous small clips. Either way it'll still be good.

The last piccie that I haven't spoken about is a headband made especially for one of my beady lady friends. She wanted it to match a dress that she was wearing to a special occasion so we both ended up deciding on wrapping the headband with some black lace material and then adding the purple puffy flower. I am terrible at getting good photos of headbands! I think I need some special headband stand that is clear or white or something and just blends into the background. I normally don't add pics to my posts unless it's a tut or something special but here is a better pic of the headband.

I have also added some more piccies to my photo gallery from the lovely Kylie at Daylight Imagery. I have some more on their way as well. I am getting very very spoilt!

Hope everyones having a great weekend!

Many faces...

Since I haven't really come up with some new products since my sale 2 weeks ago, I thought I would have this blog post about the numerous photos I have been getting of lovely little ladies wearing BB pretties.

I was lucky enough to get a couple of gorgeous piccies from Kylie (Daylight Imagery) from two shoots that she had. One was with the baby model winner and his family. His lil sister Emily is pictured in two of my photos, wearing a yoyo clip in one and a fuchsia rhinestone flower clip in the other. For a bub with such little hair she didn't do too badly! The first photo in the group is of Kylie's niece and isn't she just the perfect little model! I was blown away the photo, it is just so perfect! I love her little bob cut as well....I had one just like it when I was close to her age! haha

The last photo is from one of my most recent customers. I just love the colour combo of turquoise and purple on anything and when I saw this pic I fell inlove! They are rather two simple items but they really do create a stunning combo. Plus it does help to have a lil cutie like Jasmine modelling them.

I am hoping to set up a 'Pro Photos Gallery' tab on the above navigation bar sometime soon where I can showcase some awesome piccies taken by some very talented photographers!

On a personal note I have sinusitis AGAIN so I am on some antibiotics to get rid of that. I've only had one dose and already I feel better (a bit psychological I think). I am very close to finishing off all of my orders that I have had from before my birthday sale which is good because then I can start working on some new things.

Oh I should probably mention that I have joined a Facebook page called Collaborate for a Cause (click here). I am teaming up wih Jacara from Jacsprat Creations and we are hoping to create a beauuutiful quilted wall hanging with will double as a hairclip holder. I don't want to give too much away but from what I have seen from Jac already...it's going to look amazing! I bought some fabrics at the Craft and Quilt show the other day to make some clippies to tie in with some that Jac is using on the wall hanging.

So that is about all from me at the moment.

Doing my little bit...

Well incase some of you don't know, Queensland has had terrible flooding with 75% of the state delcared a disaster zone. So many people have lost millions of dollars in farms and housing as well as many unreplaceable items such as photos, family heirlooms and pets :(

Since raising financial support for these people and businesses is the main aim all of Australia has banded together and donated lots and lots of money. Along with this many fan pages on Facebook have been holding auctions where businesses donate items to be auctioned and all proceeds will be donated to the QLD Flood Appeal.

So I researched many different pages and was accepted to place an item at the Handmade Kids and Rudy & The Dodo Flood Appeal. Brees Bowtiques item is in Album #4 and about 3 or 4 rows down. I am happy to say that after day one of the auction my item is already up to $35 and the whole appeal is already up to $11,000!!! This is just one little page doing this, image how much money all of these pages put together will bring to the flood victims....and this is just Facebook!

Here is my item which anyone is free to bid on over at HMK & RTD Flood Appeal. The auction finishes Monday 17th January.

Also thought I would pop in this (terrible!) pic of a headband which was a custom request from a customer. The flower looks huge in this pic but I think thats because the lace headband is rather thin lol I'll need to post a better pic once I get one!

Oh...one last note! I am going to be putting other some videos on how I do my singed flowers. I have done part one which is basically tools and how to cut out the petals. Will need to film the actual making of the petals and putting together a flower. Only thing I am NOT talking in the video because I hate my voice so it'll all be little notes posted on the video hehe
